Beep

I can't figure out how to make my car beep when I lock the door... Is this not an option on the 07?

Check your owner's manual or the back of the keyfob.

Yeah, it probably involves holding down some combination of buttons on the keyfob for 10 or 15 seconds.

what you do.. is open the drivers door and hold down the lock and unlock buttons on the key fob until it beeps three times and there you go.. that should be all there is to it.

Yeah, that's what I said.

Sort of. :p

Aaronsp10 2010-01-31 10:17 PM

Hmm that didn't work.. My friends 05 has directions on the key fab.. Mine just has directions for panic and car locator.. Wish I had the owners manual

haha.. only sort of! but i guess we were both wrong!

GusGus91 2010-02-01 12:45 AM

Yea yours is supposed to beep.. Mine only beeps if it's colder than 45 degrees out... But look in the manual or nasioc has a few threads about it.

Possibly because the previous owner removed the speaker or installed a different alarm system?

Possibly the horn is just broken? Call/contact the dealership and ask them your question...

Edit: Try this link. The second post says that if you haven't tried activating it via the manual (and I know you can probably find this procedure from a simple google search) then it's shorted or otherwise broken. It should sit right on the grill and again, if you do a google search for a parts diagram for the front end of your car, you should be able to find a part number/find where it's located on your car.

Hope this helps!
