rotated uppipe
 

a couple weeks ago i decided to make my own rotated kit. Here is a picture of the uppipe. I used stainless piping however i used mild t3 flange and 2 bolt flange. The welds are not the best looking because i put an extra bead to make sure nothing would crack. I dont really care how the outside looks as long as the insides are smooth. I was going to get it ceramic coated but i just dont believe it works anywhere near the level heat wrap does.

Cool. The thing I hate about heat wrap is that it always seems to unravel. It's tough to get to the UP to rewrap it no?

ya i am not the best at putting it on it always seems to unravel but my buddy is great with heat wrap. He says it takes practice and technique which i have neither. yesterday i got a chance to fab a dump tube and hopefully today i will finish the downpipe now that i have a cat back to mate it up to.

Use those worm-type hose clamps on the heat wrap, works better than any heat wrap tie you can buy and they don't seem to ever come loose. My wrap on my DP is starting to shred but still isn't unraveling. If you are really worried you can put a few. The technique part is also true though, you have to make sure you get the wrap damp and wrap as tight as possible.
