'08+ WRX SPT Catback

I was over at Lithia ordering some odd-and-ends. Gaynel told me to get the word out that they've got an SPT catback for like $300 for sale. Normally they're like $800 from the dealership.

Fits '08+ WRX (and apparently the 2.5i?)

Contact Don or Gaynel at Lithia parts dept.

I saw the little sign for that on the counter.

Do you know if it's for sedan or hatch?

Just wondering as they had an employee's sedan for sale on the lot when I bought my wagon that had the SPT exhaust, wondering if they removed it to sell as stock?

There's a difference in the cat-back between the sedan and hatch? I have no idea what it's for. I wasn't even under the impression it was used.

The sedan has dual exhaust (axle back) while the 5 door has single, IIRC.

Another +1 for hatches and wagons if that's the case.

Also I think the sedan is also longer by quite a bit.

Though, I guess conceivably they could have designed the axle back to be interchangeable between models and make the sedan midpipe longer, but that's somewhat moot due to cody's comment.

Exactly - and the extra muffler on the sedan jumps the price up - a ton. Was playing around pricing a '11 STI last night, that SPT exhaust is almost $1200 :(

(my spec'd STI was still $2k cheaper than a similarly equiped Evo MR)

I'm at Lithia right now and I asked them what this exhaust is for, 4 dr or 5 dr. Gaynel says that it's for either one, depending on which one you need.
