WTB: 17X8 5X100 Wheels
Looking to get a 2nd set of 17X8's so that I can always use up the last 20 or 30% of my 245/40/17 AutoX tires on the street. Hoping to keep 'em under $500/set, the cheaper the better. I'm pretty happy with the 5Zigen FNO1R-C set I have now. I think they have a +48 offset and I do get a touch of rubbing somewhere, I think on the outside of the rear tire on one side only, but it's only under heavy cornering or with weight in the rear.
Please let me know if you see a good fit out there. |
I've got those outback turbo 17x7's. 245s are a little wide, but they'll fit... I've got 245's on my wife's outback on the same size wheels.
Not sure if you're interested, but I'll sell 'em to ya well below that $500 price you're looking at. $200, and they're in great shape! |
The price is certainly right, but hoping to get something a touch wider. I'll keep in mind though.

$200 for a set? Damn you.. that's dangerously tempting and would work GREAT for any rallies with a paved super special (might do desert storm in march) or for the mixed Paved / Dirt rally cross event in stockton in march ...
:| I owe visa and wellsfargo too much , but arg those would be NIICE .... I'm gonna try and wait (have no choice anyway for a few weeks) but if no one jumps on those in a month i think i will. Are there tires on the rims right now? do you know the offset? my 185/65/R15 are with in a 1/4 inch of my inner fender well (the metal part) on a +51 |

Off the top of my head, I think the OBXT wheels are 17x7 +48 5x100. But I'd have to search the forums or go out to the shed to be sure. They don't have tires on them currently. |
Alex is definitely talking about his rally car. The STi wouldn't be maxing out the fender well with 185/15's. They would be awesome on Bessy, Alex.
|
Oh damn, black RPF1's for $1,008.
http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...ed&showRear=no At 15.6Lb, they're a couple pounds lighter than the 5Zigens... |
yep on the RS Rally car. ya that offset will work. I'm on +51s right now and at full steering the tire/rim is about a 1/4" from the fender well.

Rather than buying a new set of wheels, I might know someone that'd take the spent specs off your hands and keep your overhead at a minimum.
 |
That's a fantastic idea! I have a set in my garage that I'd rather not move with.
|
I have a set of 17s that are really cold and lonely and need to snuggle up with some sticky rubber.
|
You should give them to me. :)
|
You first!
|
I just remembered that they fit in the moving truck fine. :P

Orly?
