I changed my intake from stock to a short ram, and then back with out tuning.

Then i went to a custom Cat back with out tuning. each time it seemed to hurt the gas millage a tiny bit and made the engine search for the proper idle speed. after 2K miles from my custom cat back my gas millage is the best i've ever had. (25 mpg) and i drive up spooner or up 431 5 times a week.

Sooooo maybe, yes its changing mods with out tuning. eventually the stock ECU parameters will do the best they can, but its not where you want to be with out stock parts.

I would recommend you get a Cobb AP + a tune . try to schedule a tune with Ed from EQ tuning during a Reno Fernley Raceway test & Tune day.

(you can get on a test and tune day as low as $75 !!!)
