The interns couldn't figure out what the disease was, and struggled to understand how House could be so flippant towards the poor patient. But House has an epiphany and figures out what's going on, but doesn't tell the interns until *after* he does some absurd treatment/procedure (so absurd he almost gets fired), but in the end everyone realizes that he in fact saved the patient's life. I've never understood that show. Doesn't seem like it's grounded in the tiniest shred of reality. I can be a dick to people for my own enjoyment all day, I don't need to watch an overblown medical mystery drama to get my fill of that.
