Somehow, I've had one of those "lucky failures"... not that any failure is lucky, but I had the passenger intake cam sprocket bolt shear off and my motor grinded to a halt... no valve damage. The valves happened to snap shut on the intake cam, and everything else stayed timed until the motor stopped.
