...doesn't seem at all "extreme".
The idea's cool... buy a car and troll the streets for races, then whomp someone for money, and use it to make you car faster. Very RPG-ish. Plus there are some cool obscure cars, and what looks like a very intricate mod/setup system.
The problem is: the driving isn't fun. The car drive like ass (might just be the slow ass car I have in the game so far.. but driving feels very un-realistic) Also, every road looks like the same freeway over and over again, and racing is just a matter of avoiding a few copies of the same van that seem to be the only other cars on the road while staying in front of your opponent. There's also no cops, or wrecks, so besides losing a race, there are no consequences to driving poorly. Perhaps, I'm just a n00b in the game, so I'm stuck freeway racing, and later there'll be down-town, city street races and some mountain touge... but I don't think I'll get far enought to find out... one night with the game seems like enough.
At least I'm rolling a sweet '88 XT turbo w/ gold Work rims!

Oh and the game cost $20.
