The way out is through
Default Hoosier tire life

I know the Hoosier A compound autocross tires get all of 7 runs before falling off, and cord in less than half a season, but how bad are the road race compounds? Anyone know?

I was poking around TireRack the other day and noticed that the R6 Hoosiers in 295/35ZR17 cost about as much as the 255/40ZR17 Pilot Sport Cups I'm currently running. The Michelin's tend to last me a full season of time trials plus some track weekends, so I figure the Hoosiers are going last like only 2 weekends or so, right? Otherwise they'd cost a bunch more, no?

Also, yes it's going to be a mess of work to cram some 295's on a WRX... but damn would that lower lap times!
