Well, my semi-joking point was that all that body damage isn't important to a race car, and even if there's some frame damage it could still be useable. The only thing that really matters is if the suspension points are in alignment relative to each other, and even if they're not that can be fixed too. When you're building something to the level of a Solo-II Prepared/Modified car the body & frame gets all hacked up with a plasma cutter anyway, so it doesn't much matter what you start with.



Lots of people take totalled street cars and rebuild them into project race cars. The only question is whether you want to take the time & expense to build a dedicated racecar.
