Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once
Default Vehicle issues

Ok, as some of you may recall, I blew up the motor in 4Runner last Sept. Well, last week I blew a head gasket on the brand new motor. Wow, my luck is just so great with vehicles now. I love it.

Anyway, the motor is under warranty and instead of just having the headgasket replaced, the reman. company wants the mechanic to remove the engine and return it. They have decided that they will send me another motor instead of just fixing the head gasket. Which makes sense to me, as there was anti-freeze in the oil which means possible bearing damage.

So, I called the mechanic up and told him not to work on the truck. Now I have to figure out how to come up with an extra $1200 for labor, or do it myself.

Basically, I have been riding a bycicle back and forth to work all week. This sucks.

Any ideas?
