I wonder if the EL headers increase lag but help high-end. W/o seeing a before/after dyno graph, it's hard to know.

Additionally, there are so many factors aside from the simply EL vs UEL aspect that would also affect spool. It could be likely EL headers hurt spool just because it means the exhaust gas cools more down the longer path... meaning that the EL headers should probably use a smaller diameter pipe than the shorter UEL headers to keep up velocity and protect the spool properties.
