Jeez folks, you act like you've never heard the Subaru chassis code system before. In a VIN, the first 3 digits (JF1) are universal for Subaru. The next 3 are the chassis code, i.e. GC8, GDB, or GGA. C'mon folks, it's not rocket science.
And Art, you way should have taken credit for knowing what the VIN was for considering you own one, rather than saying it was from the database.
