I've just come home from Friday set-up, and I can report that a full summer's heat, heavy air race traffic and many hours of sweeping by the airport staff seem to have tremendously reduced the gravelling problem at Stead. We won't know for sure until we hit the course at speed, but course-checking runs didn't loosen much gravel, if any. So, I'm very optimistic that our season-ending Solo events Saturday and Sunday (the 24th and 25th) will be just as much fun as we've come to expect.

Even if you're planning on taking a pass on these events, you should at least drop by during the weekend to see for yourself. If all goes well, we just may be able to resume "normal" Solo operations in 2010!
