Sure, 'cause what I'm suggesting is free flat screens and hummers for all! Let's just jump to the most unrealistic conclusions possible while we're at it and argue that the gov't should be providing free weed, crack and guns to the poor! It's their right to live how they want on the goverment's dime after all, right?
What you just described is our
current welfare system, where people are given money to spend on shit they don't need just for being poor and having a bunch of kids.
What I'm talking about is more in line with a job... you work at improving yourself, the state will make sure you've got what you need to succeed. You want to sit on your ass and eat cheetos? You do that and you're on your own.
