I guess my point was that if you drive at 8/10ths while specifically practicing left foot braking, for example, don't you have fun as you notice yourself getting better at it?
I know when I'm working on a particular corner or something and I finally get it right, it's awesome, even at slower speeds. In fact, practicing at slower speeds tends to be *more* fun because it's easier to get things right when you're not on the limit and scared about flying off the track.
