Basically, you just need to make sure it has the right brake line ports in the right place. There might be piston diameter differences as well, but it won't make it not work and may even help.

It's common for the piston diameter or booster design to change from manual to automatic, and for the lines coming from the MC to differ in position or number, especially from ABS to non-ABS.

Oh, and reman is fine. Generally it just means honing the cylinder and replacing the piston with the next size up, just like engine pistons. If it saves money, don't be afraid of reman parts.
