If I remember correctly, there would be a small gap underneath the grill.

EDIT: Yeah, looks like a small gap. The OB grill is about a 1/2" taller.

And yeah, I'm not a fan of the 05-07 Outback grill. The rest of the minor enhancements (hood bumps, front bumper and side skirts) are all very nice though.
