I have the
slightly larger version that goes on sale often for $120 or so that has lasted 10 years of track events and garage work. Just clean it, top off the oil and air bleed now and again. You should never push any jack all the way to the end of the throw. Yes, they have a bypasses, but that doesn't mean you won't hurt the seals. It is just like cranking your steering all the way to lock and holding it against the stop. Not good for any of the power steering components really.
I regularly jack up one end of my cars or the other and sides occasionally with it. Jack up the front and put jack stands at front side jack points and then jack the rear diff and all 4 are off so you can diagonal or whatever rotate you want.
It will even lift the front of my F-150 with only a little strain and changed tires on my enclosed trailer with a car in it!
