Stop sign thing is true too. Reno loves stop signs. There is a Y right near my house where a single yield on 1 leg is all that is needed, but no, it has 2 stop signs instead which most everyone ignores.

I've never seen as many friggin stop signs in my whole life as I have these past 8 months in Reno. Every intersection in my neighborhood is a 4 way stop...and 4 people, one at each stop sign, awkwardly taking turns starting and stopping, terrified to enter the intersection. And round-a-bouts don't alleviate the problem very much as everyone seems to be terribly confused as to which lane to be in, what "yield" means, and exactly who is supposed to be yielding.
