Default dual lug pattern rims

Are dual lug pattern rims weaker than single lug pattern drilled?

I'm looking at some Braid Gravel Rally rims : the acropolis

http://www.teamilluminata.com/Shop/B..._Multi_big.jpg I was talking about it with a friend (non racing buddy) and he was wondering if they would be weaker, specifically if they would break at the lugs.

Out of all the Alloy rims i've seen damaged, broken its always been on the outter edge, a bend, or a chunk breaking off.

I've seen a steel rim, get ripped off the hub, lug nuts still on the studs at a rally cross.. brand new sticky rally tires, mad sideways into a rut and disaster ...

anywho would anyone really be worried about the rim breaking around the lugs? I want to start buying 15X6 or 15X6.5 rims with a dual pattern. so i can use them on my current rally car, but they will be able to work with an 05+ STI .
