The only one of those jobs that I've done is the EGR repairs. It's a time consuming som-bitch, but not excessively difficult by any means.
As far as the others, unfortunately, if they require serious engine dis-assembly or removal, I don't think we've got the means to do it. I've heard of them, and how often they occur, but never done any of the repairs.
I know you said you don't want a Chevy, but I REALLY love my dad's Duramax...
