We had a problem with the board a while ago like this. If you started a post, then didn't subit and came to it later and tried to post it, your session would be timed out, and shit would break as you described. I have since raised the timeout time to like 3 hours, so unless you started a post and didn't submit it for 3 hours or so, you should see that problem.
