Unless you get bigger injectors you're not going to make more power by upgrading the fuel pump. Even then, you really need an engine management setup to take advantage of more fuel. More fuel w/o more air just means you'll run rich and toast your cat(s) w/o really making more power. Upgrading the fuel system is just a step to allow more boost or higher compression to make power w/o popping the motor.
when running injectors close to full duty... ie:90 % and higher... the stock fuel pump cannot support the fuel pressure and you will have pressure drop off. NOTE: it is not good to run injectors past 85%.

yes youll need more air first. once anybody has the need to purchase a fuel pump i will unleash the secret of my fuel pump. but i dont think anyone in this group (not trying to offend anyone) has the "need" for added fuel. most of you guys are suspension nuts. i am a power nut. let me know when you guys get real serious about diving into the engine. and i will let you guys in on some power secrets.
