Just an off-the-wall baseball trivia fact, I'm full of them. Jeff Bagwell was traded by Boston to Houston for Larry Anderson in 1989 before he made his major league debut. Anderson won like 10 of 12 starts for Boston that year, getting them to the playoffs only to lose to Oakland before they went on to beat SF in the Series. Anyway, Bagwell went on to a Hall of Fame career, and Anderson retired a year and a half later. I figured, what better way to add to the Boston curse?  |

Yeah, if that little daydream was only going to be half-right, the right half came true. I'm much happier with the Cards getting to beat the sox than with the Cards beating the Yanks..
