Not to mention the fall of the Republic, formation and expansion of the Empire & its military, massive socio-political upheaval from such a drastic shift in government, formation of the Rebellion... little things like that.  |
The first two have been covered, the third one brushed upon, and the last will hopefully happen in Episode III, but I'm not holding my breath.
