We're not set up with ProTuner yet, though we're trying to figure it out with Cobb.
On point 1, true.
On point 2, it's going to be a hair more expensive than Ecutek becuase you have the initial hardware purchase, the tuning isn't going to be any meaningful account slower or faster, and you are talking a bit more time for multiple complex maps (IE, street gas, race gas, etc).
Being able to divorce the Protuner is a nice feature, no doubt.
For those wondering, the reason we're not running Protuner yet is that we're also working on the Ecutek user-tune/map switching solutions. While we want to support as many different customers as possible, there are many considerations around the different types of software. licensing agreements, etc. I'll keep you all posted on our plans, though.
