The DMV won't usually give out plates that are intentionally confusing. My friend w/ 1337 and 1001010 tried to get the WWVWWVW plate and they wouldn't let him.

However, I think a lot of it has to do with who ends up helping you at the counter. I tried to get "SECCSVX" for my SVX and the lady that was helping me actually went to her manager to ask if that was acceptable. They turned me down.

I think if the person that was helping me was either stupid or cool, she would have just given it to me.
