Thanks for bumping yet another old thread...
The 7998 is a nice older deck, a lot of SQ guys prefer them to the newer Alpine models. I love the Eclipse combination of unbeatable SQ (for the price) and the low-key looks and display. Even Alpines are too flashy for me, and they are better than most.
