What's an "extreme route"? I drove the hairpin the "ideal" line for a tight turn between two long straights: early apex in, late apex out, thereby extending the effective lengths of the straights. I attempted to run an early apex in turn 1 as well, but because that vette is so pushy (gotta love the realism in GT4) I ended up having to drive T1 "improperly" by staying left and following the scrub marks through the turn to keep momentium up. I'm sure I could have shaved off time from my best lap eventually simply by running tighter apexes, hitting the line better and feathering the throttle less... but I don't think I'd pick up more than 2 or 3 tenths, let alone the full second I need to knock off to get into the 59's.

So anyway... we're about 11 hours overdue on the next challenge! What's it gonna be? A word of advice, normally we try to pick challenges that are between 1 and 2 minutes per lap. If you really intend on running the Nurburgring (I love it, I won't complain) make sure you pick a fast car that's very easy to drive, or you're going to frustrate all the people that don't know the course because they'll constantly be going off and invalidating their laps. Also keep in mind not everyone has all the cars, so pick something that's common or easy to get.
