On my car, I'll go from an empty catchcan to about 0.5" to 1" of coolant in it after romping around. As the car cools down, the reserve is sucked back into the system as the pressure drops. How's your car plumbed right now that it doesn't leak? Is your overflow just capped off?  |
Wait, these things aren't air cooled?!
It's not capped off, but it doesn't appear to overflow? Maybe I'm just low on coolant? The only time I ever noticed the temp guage go above normal was at RFR when it was over 100 (even then, I don't remember seeing any coolant on the ground). I just attributed the higher temp do to the temp outside and the FMIC blocking airflow. I am installing some new crucial items that should help, but it does make me wonder about how much coolant is in the system.
