How old are you? If you're under 25, just go, don't worry about the girl. Since she's not interested in waiting for you for a whopping 6 months
, you should just write her off and go have a good time. There will be other girlfriends... ones that care enough about you to wait for you while you take advantage of a terrific opportunity.
