 Germans use lug bolts mostly, 12x1.5 instead of the Subaru 12x1.25 studs. The former are probably stronger, but a PITA.
Typical torqueing for 1.25 is about 65-80 ft*lbs, whereas 1.5s run 90-105ft*lbs.
