So, back on the tax evasion topic....If the paul in the example was having his wages diverted to a "church", isn't the employer liable for some wrongdoing too? If not, then it's no wonder this type of stuff is so common .
The employer probably paid their portion of the taxes. The government doesn't give a shit how you pay your employees, as long as the gov't gets their cut.
