Very unlikely. Like I said, a million things can cause misfires. I used to get them in my RS after I did the Exedy flywheel because the ECU couldn't accept that revs were suppose to rise and fall that fast off-idle.
So, replacing plugs and your stock airbox *should* fix the issue.
