There are federal rangers that walk around and ride around on ATV's but I've never seen them do anything other than point at the craziness and talk amongst themselves while smiling.

I think there are also Ranger outposts where you can go complain if sombody is breaking the rules and sombody needs a talking to. It sounds to me like there are Burning Man Rangers and Federal Rangers. You can do drugs anywhere you want, but if you walk up to one of the Federal Rangers and start telling him about the "colors man", be prepared to spend the night in a white room.

The hire a company out of Reno to handle emergency care and they have ambulances and a helicopter ready to fly people to Reno when the need arrives.
