No actually it really does appear he misread it.
unless you figure anyone who ever carries a gun keeps it loaded. a lot of people carry unloaded guns with them in their cars for example. (My uncle does that ) and some people carry a gun and the clip of ammo out of the gun so they would be carrying an unloaded gun.
at any rate if i misinterpreted something someone else wrote, I still got a laugh out of his wording. and i can admit a funny looking post I made and laugh at myself too
