In the rule book under D Street Prepared, it states 84-87 Corolla GT-S (AE86), it mentions nothing regarding the Corolla SR5 in any of the classes. The SR5 had the same production dates, and the same AE86 chassis, but came with a SOHC engine, no LSD, and a manual steering rack. I think I already know the anwser to this but I'm going to ask anyways, can I take a manual rack from a SR5?

Also since the rule book specifically says AE86, does that mean I can update my car to full JDM spec? Technically there is no AE86 in the US, it's refered to as the AE88, or so states the vin numbers of every RWD Corolla imported into the US between 1984, and 1987. Just like the FX in every other country was called the AE82, but here in the US it was the AE89. So can I take a manual rack off of a JDM AE86, and put in one of the high comp. red tops out of an AE86?

Now of course I know I can't, but they should clear that up in the rule book.
