I love watching soccer on TV... it's got sort of a zen flow about it... sort of a perpetual excitement that ebs and flows. Rather than US football, where it's a bunch of standing around and walking, then 15 seconds of explosive action, then a bunch of standing around... or baseball that's 99.9% nothing happening but strategizing (a physics professor of mine timed with a stop watch the total time the ball was in flight during a 3 hour baseball game... it was like 30 seconds.
But don't get me wrong, I love baseball!)
