Never tried the OEM size after I put the other suspension on, the tires were just ultra low-performance and I didn't want to buy another set of balloons for my car after improving the suspension. I wanted less sidewall flex and didn't think enough about the differences. I did unintentionally go smaller than I wanted, and didn't find the tire size calculator until after the fact, of course.
The 225/45/17's would have been a much closer match and are reported to not rub with a 48mm offset. The 205/70/15's would probably not rub from the looks of it now, but would look a bit silly and not go with an improved suspension.
