Frankly, it's because the people in the Whitehouse are oil tycoons trying to make themselves and their buddies a bunch of money in the Middle East. And it's very sad that it's that simple... but when you shovel through all the doublespeak, and all the spin, all the religious innuendo, all the false morality about promoting freedom, and all the lies... really, it's because the President and his buddies are using the power of the US to try and benefit themselves financially.

The voice of the people is being ignored because the people don't have anything more than a voice these days to change things. And if things keep going the way they are, our voices will eventually be regulated by DRM and copyright laws.
