On my last run i tried to just lift a bit on the throttle to make the chicane into that next right hander. but i got the car unsettled and didn't back off in that corner, was going to plow toward the outside cones so i lifted off the gas and touched the brakes and spun out. (maybe next time brake but stay where i was on the gas?) Then the course workers gave me big time shoulder shrug. (like maybe a Why did you lift / brake when you were on the verge of losing it)

and on a side note it only took me 1 year to try out Auto on the DCCD.
