I would highly reccommend WNS. I drove a delivery truck for them during my last 1.5 years at UNR. They have a tuition reimbursment program that served me well. If your friend is a hard worker with a good attitude and lots of snap, he might find WNS to be one of the "best" places to work ever. I was so sorry to leave that job --- it seriously was the most enjoyable place I've ever been employed. If he already has experience with business, he's got a leg up on asking for his price. They like students there, too.

How to get in, that's a good question. There is always the ability to swap departments and positions once employed, so the starting job really doesn't matter. I liked shipping, just because there was never space for BS, and the job was fast-paced. With a good reference as to his work quality, I don't see a problem with asking $12+ to start.
