I've read conflicting info online. . . Some say rear diff. Some say gear or bearing damage. Some say that whine is normal for RS transmissions (seemed to be a common theme on rs25.com). The service manual hints at either just low fluid, or damage.
I haven't had a chance to get the gear oil changed yet, but the level is good. I also need to check the rear diff level, but need to pick up the square tool/key/bit/whatchamacallit to get the plug out. Can anyone tell me what piece I need, and can I expect Kragen to carry it?

The rear-end drain plugs use a 3/4" socket wrench w/o a socket on the end of it.
