Default Clear Bra?

So I'm looking to get some clear bra on the sti before winter.. Anywhere you guys recommend to take it? And if you know, what price range it would be to do the hood, bumper, mirrors? Thanks!

I'm currently talking with the guys over at Sierra Invisible Shield about some sort of club deal. I'm out of town this coming week, but I should be over there to check them out next Friday.

NOW WITH 100% LESS STI!
Default

When I was about to buy the Evo last summer Dodge said they are charged ~$1k for the clear bra on the Challengers - I was looking at it cause it was peeling off of a car inside the showroom with 23 miles. My mom's Mariner (don't laugh, it's her first new car EVER, and she loves it, and it's a hybrid, and way better than the Escape) was ~$1k, done by the highest-volume seller of Mariners in the US down in so cal.

Seems like the ballpark is $500-$2k, depending on car. Your STI isn't too easy, and not sure how many shops around here have the software files to cut it.

I'm about to hand-cut/install a clear bra on Jenn's 2010 hatch. Figuring ~$150 just in materials, and I got the cheaper, thinner material as I know it sticks and holds up to weather as it's just a clear version of the vinyl I use for everything else.

Might be able to hook it up if you can't find it reasonable in town.

Are those the guys that share space with C&C and Sierra Autosport?

Holy shit! It is! I had no idea when I called Dexter... I was just going off the couple of people here that recommended them back in like 2006.

Dustin used to do this for a side job years ago. He actually did some work for a few members I think. I know that he did the yellow headlights on qksubi's 04 STI. I will ask him what product that he used. I know that he said there are a lot of products that will change color over time so you need to be careful.

Dexter mentioned doing a clear bra on one of the IGT's exec's new SLS. Nice to know the guys at the top are still able to afford new supercars while the rest of us are dodging layoffs!

I highly recommend them. I just have my wife new Legacy done at Sierra Invisible Shield with Dexter. The price should be close to other shop around $600 - $800. The new bra material is a lot better than the one I have back in 2006. It is more smoother and less orange peel reflex. They also have a carbon fiber wrap. There are a lot of nice cars in the shop (C&C and Sierra).

The reason I pick them because they have a nicer and cleaner shop than the other 2 that I check it out. They also done a lot of high end cars, Ferrari, Lambo. I saw a new Audi S5 getting bra done same day as my wife Legacy.

Tell them that Nat send you, you might get a discount.

If you decide you want a clear bra, you should get it done asap before any dings.

I had one installed on my wife's A6 in 2002. They did the headlights, mirrors, grill, lower valance and the front of hood and fenders. The brand was 3M. I can honestly say that it was the best $550 we ever spent. After 8 years driving in snow, sand and everything else across Donner Summit the material is intact and has never yellowed or pealed. The lower valance has been curbed on parking bollards and the material is shreaded. Even at that the damage has remained local to that area.

The weather forced my parents to come into town a day early, so I had to reschedule for Tuesday. It sucks having to keep the car hiding in the garage considering it's by far our more capable car for the snow.

There was a black guy who did the detailing at Sport Haus, I can't remember his name but he did a perfect job. He hasn't been at the SportHaus in years.
