Damn, those look great!

How much clearance between the spokes and the calipers?

Hey Mike,

Those are sweet. I love the SDR's and the Formels. I'm hoping the tax man will send me a fat check so I can buy some.

You can always buy the 3 I have (wink) and then just get the 4th rim and tire.

Whats a Bora? Is that a jetta?

Anyway, if it is...don't Jetta's have different bolt patterns then 5 x 100?

Bora is what they call the Jetta in Europe. My lug pattern is 5x100 so the wheels would fit. What do you think, would they look cool?

How about the offset?

STi Rims are 53mm offset and 7.5" wide.

Would that be a issue?

Didn't we go through this with Sergio wanting to put his Dub's rims on his WRX.... VW's like an offset in the 30's IIRC, so the WRX rims would rub the struts on a Jetta somthing fierce.

I never thought of that, but I guess it's true because the wheels I run are 18x8.5 Oh well just wondering.

BTW: the STi rims should be a +48 if they're 7.5" wide.

Subaru rim sizes:
17x7.5 +48, example: 17" Rota's
17x7 +50, example: Prodrive P1's
16x6.5 +53, example: stock WRX rims

As the rims gets wider, the offset needs to be reduced, or the rim will rub the struts.

Read this over Nasioc about the STi rims. Thats were I got the info.

I'm not sure I beleive that.... where'd "Jon Bogart" get that info... I know the stock WRX rims are 6.5" wide +53. To go an inch wider w/o pushing the rim out towards the fender at all sounds like it should be pretty crowded near the strut. Plus, that would imply there's enough room to run a 9" wide +48 on and STi, and AFAIK te STi doesn't have more room than a WRX for rims. (Besides, STi rims fit on WRX's and I believe a 7.5"+53 rubs on a WRX).

'Course I could be wrong, I don't own an STi.

Interesting... maybe I'm off by a few mm... could be:

stock WRX 6.5" +55
prodrive P1 7" +53
Rota's 7.5" +48

But that still seems like +53 is a little much on an STi rim...

I know for a fact that my RS wheels are 16x7 and +53mm. Also, WRX wheels are 16x6.5 and +53mm. A few mm aren't super critical as long as they don't directly lead to rubbing.
