hey guys, just to keep you all updated, the insurance adjustor said that my car was indeed fixable. At first, called me to say he was going to deem it totaled without looking at it because it was a 12,000 dollar "lancer" and it wasn't worth his time to go to auburn to look at it.... i thought that was pretty funny and i responded by saying, "oh i think you have the wrong car sir.. It's the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII... He didn't even know what i was talking about besides it had 4wd. After looking at the damages, he said he estimated 14,600 to fix. I hope to have it towed down to Hayward CA, by monday. Getting it fixed by Gb-motorsports and The masters body shop. Dont know how it will turn out, but i guess we'll all see. :? I do know, since i'll be paying out my A** for insurnace for the next decade or so, i'm going to try to ease the pain with some power modifications.

wow 14,600 did he give you a new motor in that deal? you could almost take the check parts your car and end up with 35,000 for your next car............ .......sounds like the car you will get back from Gb-motorsports will be just as nice

Glad to hear its going the way you wanted it to. So any idea how long it'll have to be down in Hayward? Will it be done before you leave for home?

no idea about how long it will be in hayward. It hasn't even left auburn yet. Probably will leave monday. Get to the body shop, then after the body work is done, then it will go to gb to get the motor work. Probably not even close to before i go home in may.. sorry

That sucks it will take so long. If might have been better to just total the car, because then you'd have everything fixed in the time it takes to buy a new one, but it would probably cost you more out of pocket. At least it sounds like you'll have a good shop doing the work.
