Default Summer Heat - Technicial

Okay, ever since its gotten hotter outside, my car has been acting up.

The boost normally pushes to about 12.5 now, and the oil temp is running up to 195 at times. Is this normal? SOA said that ambient temperature has a big effect on the cars performance. But does it affect this much?

Its like whe starting your car in the morning without warming it up. Thats how it acts most of the day. Do any of your cars do this?

Sounds fine to me... oil temps are fine till about 220... if you're regularly over 220, then think about an oil cooler, but even in 90deg+ weather at an autocross, I didn't really break 220.

Oh, and shouldn't your boost hit around 14psi? Stock WRXs should hit 14psi in 3rd and 4th gear... like if you're accelerating on the freeway.

Or is the auto different than the manual as far as boost?

I meant with the heat its only getting to 12 psi. I normally reach 14.5 psi when WOT. I just seems like I loose a lot of power when its real hot outside.

That's weird... you might want to check to make sure none of the hoses near the wastegate and boost solenoid, etc are loose.
