Dean boycotts Club Trials, especially if there's a trackday he can be at within a 3 state radius.

I choose not to participate at this time. That is hardly a boycott.

Boycott

The exact reasons you gave me about not running at Club Trials were disagreements about how they were run.

"...expression of protest or disfavor or as a means of coercion." I have different reasons for Lovelock and RFR events, non of which meet that definition.

The short version of the reasons are:

Lovelock: Speeds I would drive vs. safety (equipment in my car, at the site, and location, and site conditions.) This is no way disparaging of the event, or the organizers, but a personal weighing of the risks vs. benefits.

RFR: As an instructor I can typically pay a similar amount of money that gets me 1 day at a SCCA RFR day for 2 days at an Audi or other club event often with food provided, and not having to work a corner, and with my car insurance fully in force. Again, not disparaging in any way.

Would I prefer that they run a different type of event that was more to my liking, yes, but again, that is personal preference/opinion/choice, not a boycott.

P.S. I have participated at Solo1s at lovelock in the past with the old course design.

Okay fine, Dean doesn't boycott Club Trials. He just goes to them as often as someone who IS boycotting them.

I have been to a Lovelock solo1 more recently than a strip club, concert, baseball, soccer, football game, or opera... I must be boycotting those as well.
