Default FS: Veggie-oil powered Mercedes Benz Wagon

I figure no ones interested, buy my sister asked me to see if anyone wanted it.

She is selling her bio-diesel experiment so she can go travel around the world.

'82 Mercedes Benz 300 td wagon. 235,000m miles. It's been converted to run on veggie oil. The car has the filter system built in so you don't need to pre-process the oil. Moon roof, fully automatic. Hydraulic system is fixed to prevent the notorious hydraulic system leaks. Needs new weather stripping around front 2 doors.

$6000

I doubt it... Lisa's not a hippy. She'd drive a Porsche Cayenne turbo if we had a spare $100k lying around...

I don't think she'd want to spend $6000 on a $500 car just 'cause it's eco-friendly... and even then, just 'cause it runs on renewable fuel, doesn't mean it's not a smoke belching '82 diesel Merc... perhaps the most notorious diesel car ever, and the one that gave diesel a bad name in America.

I think Lisa's just going to keep her Saab, and deal with the wear and tear it'll get being driven around for work all the time. Maybe in a year or two we'll have the cash so she can get a new AWD Saab 93, and a beater work SUV.

Veggie oil is NOT biodiesel - not even close. Biodiesel can be run in any diesel engine with no conversion whatsoever (except older <80's diesels - the fuel lines must be replaced).

Well technically, it was a bio-diesel project that ended up being converted to use veggie oil

But yeah, you're right this isn't a bio-diesel car anymore.
